Your Secret is Safe with Me - Never be Afraid to Be You

'I want a Bridal Boudoir' she said 'but I am really nervous and have no idea where to begin'

'I haven't told anyone and want it to be a secret'

Your secret is safe with me.  Now let's begin.

The young lady was getting married in a few weeks and she wanted to surprise her husband to be with a little book.  Some classy, intimate photos that she could give him on their wedding day.

The best thing to do I said, was to meet up and have a chat over a cuppa, so that we could get to know each other.  Also she would then find out if she would feel comfortable with me enough to relax in front of the camera.

A good cup of tea and a chat is always a good ice breaker.

So, to cut a long story short, we had our cup of tea and chat and a date was made for the bridal boudoir shoot.  

We decided that the lady would be more comfortable coming to my house and using my spare room for the shoot.

Makeup Artist was called and appointment made

I organised for my makeup artist to arrive slightly before our client, so that I could give her the low down.   Laura is absolutely brilliant when doing makeup.  She is relaxed and chatty and makes everyone feel at ease.  This occasion was no different.

So with all the bridal bits and pieces hung upstairs waiting, the bridal boudoir makeover began.

We used some pretty flowers to set the scene and to put in the bride to be's hair.  It looked really pretty, but you'll have to take my word for it because it was and still is a secret! :)

Never be afraid to be you.

Well, with makeup applied and makeup artist departed, we retreated to my spare room.  

Nerves were a little on edge with the lady.  She looked stunning and I said 'just be yourself - it's you your fiance has fallen in love with.  It's the real you he'll want to see in these photos - don't be afraid to be you'

And finally a totally relaxed lady who was absolutely thrilled with her images and little book.

  

Let's hope her husband is too!

Always remember, unless you tell me I can, I won't share your images.

No Pain, No Gain - Really?

There is no pain, but definitely lots of gain!

A glamour portrait, boudoir shoot or bridal boudoir can be incredibly intimate and a little provocative.  

I have been told by women that they have found it exciting, liberating and a huge boost to one’s confidence.  

However, once a woman has taken the decision to go for it she may well have feelings of apprehension and even become anxious and some may even decide not to go ahead with it! 

If a you decide that actually you don't think you can go ahead with it - just how do we move forward?  

We can answer the many questions that are going through your head that seem to be putting the brakes on so to speak! 

For instance, you really don’t have to reveal any more in a boudoir shoot than you are comfortable with!  If you want to bring someone with you for moral support then that’s fine too!   

It is all entirely up to you.
  
Whatever you decide you can guarantee you will have a wonderful experience with some fabulous photographs and you will wonder why you worried at all!

Are you ready for a Boudoir Photoshoot

A new genre of photography is emerging quite rapidly – and that’s Boudoir photography.  Are you ready for this wonderful experience that will make you feel special, I mean very, very special? 

Just the other weekend there was an article in the Mail on Sunday magazine with some lovely images to persuade every woman on the planet that she should do it!

Boudoir is exhilarating and builds self- esteem and every woman should have the opportunity of a boudoir shoot at least once in her lifetime.

So who would book a boudoir photoshoot?  It could be a new bride wanting some very special sensual, tasteful images for her husband, or women who have something to celebrate, maybe losing weight, recovering from an illness or just to boost their confidence.

Most sessions take place at my home or in my studio in Lymington in the New Forest.  However, I am very happy to travel to your own surroundings if you prefer it and would feel more comfortable.

Because it is relatively new many women are just not quite sure what to expect.  Just relax and enjoy the TLC! 

Individual women have individual choices and therefore you choose just how much or how little you would like to reveal.  I never work to a specific formula.  I just let the shoot take its own time and level and ensure that you get the images that are a true reflection of you and the way you want to be.  All your images will be tasteful, sensitive and creative and I am happy to give a little nip and tuck, or smoothing of skin in post- production, just like any magazine image!
